THE NATURE ADVENTURE DESCRIPTION

Let your hen group be taken through the Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park in surroundings declared as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, in special convertible 4x4 vehicles. Expert and friendly guides will help you discover the wilderness of the mountains and beauty of the countryside. You will also visit charming Spanish white village, discovering the traditional rural life in Andalucia, Spain.

TRIP ITINERARY: ISTAN - RIO VERDE - OJEN

Start from meeting-point, Hotel or residence at 9:30 a.m.

Up on the mountains, we stop in a quarry to enjoy the magnificent landscape over the Reservoir, the Costa del Sol, the Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar and Africa. We’ll get to know Pepe, the shepherd, we'll practice "the Sling shot" and we'll milk the goats by ourselves. Then we visit of Istán, a lovely typical white village, and " the old Public washing place". This is the ideal moment to have a typical Andalucian breakfast.

A) Winter Season

Entry into the Natural Park with the 4x4 jeeps. You’ll be given an explanation of the "Pinsapo" and cork tree forest, the most interesting arboreal specie in the Natural Park. You’ll be shown the Quejigo oaks, characteristic indigenous trees. We´ll also watch the wild fauna (Eagles, wild boars, Spanish Ibex, etc.)

B) Summer Season

An idyllic stop in the heart of the Rio Verde (the Green River). The brave adventurers (that’s you!) will cross a hanging bridge. You’ll be explained the rich bio diversity of this area: The subtropical forest of Laurisilva. Relaxing bath (weather permitting) in an authentic "ecological paradise", this is truly unforgettable! Tasting of various juices and fruits, next to natural pools...delicious!

Stop for lunch in a typical "venta" with traditional food. Different menus to choose, with salads, desert and drinks included.

After lunch, two options:

• Visit of Ojén, beautiful white village, we’ll walk through narrow streets explaining its Moorish history. Visit of the Church and the caves. In the "VINO DE MÁLAGA" MUSEUM ("Malaga Wine Museum") we´ll have a wine tasting.

• Nature: towards the mountains, in Juanar, soft trekking to the mirador (view point) and panoramic views of the Costa del Sol. This tour requires a moderate hike of about 35 minutes and is easily managed by almost everybody. Observation of the wildlife in Cynegetic Reserve (Spanish Ibex, etc.)
